the Rigorous Investigations of Relevant Issues [RI]² site. The purpose of this site is to share information and resources related to an innovative approach for teaching science. The approach suggests use of contemporary issues that connect science and society as contexts for engaging students in meaningful learning of science principles and practices as well as critical thinking and decision-making skills that transcend the boundaries of science classrooms.


[RI]² Modules highlight key dimensions of teaching with socio-scientific issues (SSI) for three-dimensional (3D) science learning.
